Redemption is the paladin resurrection ability. It will restore a player character from their corpse with partial health and mana, depending on the level of the spell. It cannot be cast while in combat and is interrupted when attacked.

Redemption is first obtained at level 12 through a certain quest. For Alliance paladins, that is The Tome of Divinity, which can be had from Tiza Battleforge, Duthorian Rall, or Jol. For the Horde, that quest is Summons from Knight-Lord Bloodvalor, which can be obtained from Noellene.

Notes[]

Other classes have similar spells but usually with slightly different requirements and effects:

Do the quests as soon as possible! There's nothing more embarrassing than running your first instance and finding out that you're unable to resurrect people.

Patch changes[]

  • Patch 1.6.0 (patch date:2005-07-12): Resurrection spells should now check range properly when used on targets that have released their spirit.
