Warlocks are the eternal masters of shadow magic, a practice perfected over many generations. While they excel in the manipulalation of demons, their true power lies in their own hands.
Affliction is a Warlock talent tree that includes curses and DoT spells, as well as various other debuffs. The Affliction tree relies on slow, steady death while being mana efficient. With abilities such as Dark Pact, a warlock with talents deep in this tree is fit to survive a long, drawn out battle based on mana. Also, the Affliction tree contains the only snare ability that warlocks are capable of getting, Curse of Exhaustion.
Many warlocks prefer a Shadow Mastery/Ruin talent build (a build that must consist of both talents, but can vary elsewhere), which requires at least 30 points in this tree.
